Jackson's first grade class is celebrating the last twenty-six days of school by featuring a letter each day. B was baby day... we tried to get him to take that adorable picture of himself as a chubby, naked baby, but he refused. He didn't want his classmates to see his naked bottom. I tried explaining that it was okay, since he was only six months old or so, but he didn't go for it.
So anyway, today was K day, for King. I'm not sure what they'll do at school on King Day, but over breakfast I asked Jackson what he would do if he could be King of the whole world for one day. He thought and thought and ate a poptart and thought some more. Finally, (drumroll please...) he decided that if he was king for a day, the first thing he would do would be....
to make a law so that the Cuban people could leave Cuba and wouldn't have to stay there anymore.
I've got to quit letting that kid read Newsweek.
