Fascination

I stumbled across the most fascinating website today, and have spent literally an hour studying the photos. If you have some time, check it out. http://www.vivianmaier.com

It has a really interesting backstory... in 2007, a man bought a box of film negatives at a New York thrift auction. He developed them, and realized what a treasure he had. He spent months tracking down the other negatives sold at the auction, and trying to determine who had taken all the photographs. He was finally able to pinpoint the photographer... a nanny, Vivian Maier. She passed away three days before he found her. The website above showcases many of her incredible photos. Most are simple black and white studies of people, people who seem to be unaware that they are being photographed. I found them to be incredibly touching...just ordinary people caught unawares.
